Lake Forest and Lindenhurst Health & Fitness Centers were developed as part of an ongoing commitment to ensure the good health of the community. Located on the Lake Forest Hospital campus and in Lindenhurst, our clubs offer cardiovascular fitness, orthopedic medicine, sports medicine, physical therapy and a wide variety of health and wellness programs.

More than 100 group fitness classes are offered each week, including a variety of aerobic, stretch and strength, prenatal, yoga and power cycling classes. Personal training and nutrition counseling are provided by highly qualified staff who are committed to helping you achieve your fitness and wellness goals. Additionally, we implement multidisciplinary programs designed to help members who are living with cancer, arthritis, osteoporosis, fibromyalgia and cardiovascular disease better cope with the side effects of their disease. We also offer an on-site café, a spa, a FitKids program and a vast array of great seminars and classes to help you embrace a healthier lifestyle.

Mixed Martial Arts (MMA)

Join exercise specialist Rick Bronswick, a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, for a 8 week program that consists of a complete system of martial arts.

MMA class involves standing and grappling arts: Boxing, Kickboxing, Muay Thai, Jiu Jitsu, and Wrestling. The goal is to be well-rounded and possess the knowledge to defend your self in any position.

This program is designed for anyone interested in martial arts training. Participants must be a minimum 14 years old to participate.

Classes are held in 6-week sessions and participants may register for 1 day/week or 2 days/week.

Sundays @ 11:15am

1x per week - LHFC Members $99 / Non-Members $135
2x per week - LHFC Members $198 / Non-Members $270

Rick Bronswick
Personal Trainer/Black Belt Martial Arts Instructor

B.S. in Biology (pre-med) Minor Psychology –DePaul University

Rick joined the Lindenhurst Health and Fitness Center in May 2003. Rick brings a lifetime of personal experience in bodybuilding and fitness. Rick earned his black belt in Tae Kwon Do in 1996 and currently is an MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) instructor here at the Health Center. Prior to being employed here at the Health Center, Rick worked in the medical field for over 10 years as a Cardiac Technician. The knowledge and experience he has obtained in the medical field has made him very competent in dealing with client’s health issues.
