FitKids Description

Philosophy:
FitKids has been established to provide a safe nurturing environment for children whose parents are members at LFHFC.  Childcare is provided for children ages 6 weeks through 12 years.  During their stay the children are taught the importance of exercise and good health through a variety of programs and activities.

Staff:
The staff in FitKids is made up of a desk attendant, many coaches, supervisors, and a director.

Activities/Rooms by Age:
Coaches work with the children inside FitKids.  We have five areas for activities.  The “infant/toddler” area is for children under the age of 3.  It is supplied with swings, a rocking chair, many toys, books, and games for this age group.  A separate nursery has cribs for sleeping babies. 

The “pit” area is for children ages 3 and older.  Large motor skills are developed in this area.  Many activities such as games, tumbling, sports, and exercise are provided in this area. 

The “coloring” area and the Lego table are provided for children who wish to read, color, or do quiet activities during their stay in FitKids. We offer scheduled classes for children to be creative and develop small motor skills.

There is an outdoor activity area located just outside the FitKids room.  A four-foot fence secures it.  This area may be used by children ages 2 through 12 on a rotational basis.  This area allows children to enjoy the outdoors and play a variety of sports and games. Friday Water Days start mid June thru August including water slides, small pools and sprinklers. 

How do I sign up?
Members have the option to sign up for a monthly or a drop-in membership.  A monthly membership allows members to have FitKids privileges by paying a monthly or yearly fee.
